Bragging About the Bears

  • Shakes Bear Performances every Friday during lunch are an opportunity for our drama students to hone their skills in front of their friends and teachers. Our actors are quality performers.
  • 8th graders continue to step up to the plate and be the leader/mentors on campus. They are bright, full of ideas, cheerful, respectful, and continue to lead the school in academics. Bravo class of 2011!!!
  • Open Enrollment is coming in March and so have a flood of parents anxious to see CCCS. Our student tour guides, Morgan, Geraldine, Destiny, have done a stellar job showing around families and talking about CCCS.

Holidays at CCCS

CCCS does not have parties, not birthday, last day or holiday parties, our concentration to the last minute is on student education.

Parents the BEST gift you and your child can give Staff Members is a letter/card from the heart stating why you like/care about that staff member. These gifts last forever and are easy on your pocketbook.

IF you did not order one YOU MAY still pick up one on these days!

7th and 8th Grade Openings at CCCS

If you know of anyone who is interested in starting at CCCS second semester (begins February 4) please have him or her call Mrs. Smith. There are possibly 10-15 openings in each grade for the second semester.

Parent Volunteer Hour Changes

In the last few weeks I’ve had the pleasure of talking to a few parents regarding parent education and hours that have resulted in changes. These changes take effect January 1, 2010, others next school year.

Parent Education classes are one hour long. Parent Meetings/Family Nights run from sixty to ninety minutes. Parents will receive 30 minutes of parent volunteer time each time you attend.

Parents who attend all parent education classes (September-October-January-February) willreceive certificates and participate in a graduation.

Calling all Carpenters

Mr. Hong would like to build risers for our Choir during
the holiday break. Anyone interested in helping please
contact him this week.
